E,D. / About

A food blog with a perfectly normal relationship to the truth.

Eventually, Dinner. is a food blog for people who already know the deal: every recipe site on the internet makes you read a 1,200-word personal essay before it gets anywhere near the ingredients. We do the same thing. We just do it on purpose, and we try to make the lie entertaining.

Each post is a completely unnecessary story — a wedding spreadsheet gone sentient, an HOA coup, something involving a raccoon, a recurring cast of family members and friends behaving exactly as they do in real life — built around a recipe that is genuinely worth making. The stories are comedic fiction inspired by real dynamics. The measurements are not jokes. Nothing goes live until it passes our Writer’s Code and a real recipe QA pass, so you can trust the dinner even when you cannot trust the narrator.

It’s built for home cooks who want a reliable weeknight dinner and a reason to smile on the way there, and for the small, very patient group of people who recognize themselves in the cast. Eventually, Dinner. is made by a one-person operation with a lot of help from the actual humans who keep showing up in the stories — most of whom are still speaking to the writer, which is either a testament to friendship or a failure of boundaries.
